  1. I am getting married soon and I want to gather up pictures of me and my fiancee and put them together in a short video with music playing in the background. Like a slideshow on the screen where it would just flash picture after picture with music in the background. Is there a simple way to do this? I dont have any video editing background - so is their an application that i can put my digital pictures on and have it scroll through with music in the background? Thanks for the help and my fiancee thanks you too!

Memoriesontv can do that. You can get it from the Tools menu.

There's a bunch of apps that will do that. https://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=28#28

Most editors/authoring programs can be used as well.

  4. Most of those you have to pay for - I have a couple of applications already like RecordnowDX, powerDVD, etc. I got the Pioneer A04 and it came with some other apps as well - I am at work and cant remember what i have at home. Are there any free ones i should try?

I have used a Freeware called Slide Show Movie Maker. You can add music. pan and zoom and have transitions between photos.

Slide Show Movie Maker is pretty good.

ProShow Gold or Ulead Video Studio. For stills, they can do about the same thing, but ProShow is easier (as still shows is what it does - UVS can do a lot more...)

  9. Pro Show Gold ROCKS!

This is by far the easiest program that I have ever used for what you are needing to do. I currently use this for many of my families that want a simple yet professional looking show. Weddings, Holiday Memories etc... You have so much flexibility and now with the new upgrade that they have introduced, awesome is all I can say.

    Wish you well.

  10. I was then told to use Moviemaker 2.0 that came with Windows XP - But this program is locking up on me too - i import the pictures, add the audio and then start to make the move file and it locks up about 75% of the way. How do i trouble shoot this?

Seems like many video related applications lock up your computer - Have you by any chance installed any codec packs? If not (and maybe even "if"!), a clean XP installation might be the only cure...
