  1. How do I update this drive? Nothing seems to help. I bought dvd's to burn but at 4 speed it fails. It only works on 4 speed. I tried the firmware page but nothing.

    Can anyone help me?

  2. What disks are you using ?
What firmware version are you running ?
What software are you using to burn with ?
What sort of files are the source files ?
When you say fail what do you mean ? Does the burn not finish ? Do they not play Ok ?

  4. When I am burning a dvd at 4x speed it burns untill 30% and then it stops. The programs that i am using finish the dvd and it plays nice on the dvd player but untill 30%. Then it stops (ofcourse).
I have used the latest version of Nero, Dvd decrypter, Instant copy. Nothing seems to burn at 4x speed. I checked out what DVD brand goes best with Pioneer and it was Princo. So I bought that, but still no luck at 4x speed. The files are ISO files and VOB files. I cant tell you the firmware version yet (i am at work) but i tell yopu in the evening.
    Peace

Oh dear and where did that piece of info come from....
Wouldn't touch them disks with a barge pole.. They may burn OK if lucky but dont expect them to last long.....
I would update nero as well.
