Any tips on ripping a Yu-Gi-Oh! DVD from the cartoon series????
I have tried DVDdecrypter and DVDshrink and they both fail.
Thanks

Is the original scratched or dirty in any way?
Do you have the latest versions of each program? -
When DVDs have an illegle structure, chances are it's using Sony's Structure protection.
The only app that will currently defeat it is CSS+Region Free 5.50 Beta2. Make sure you get the beta2 as this is a new feature: http://www.dvdidle.com/download.htm -
Well no Go using "CSS+Region Free 5.50 Beta2". Any more ideas????

How do they fail? What error messages are reported?

DVDdecrypter: 3.5.1.0
DVDshrink: 3.2.0.15
The both chug along for a long time and they fail near the end with CRC like errors.
Any ideas???

It could be mastering errors.
You may need to update the firmware.
Your drive may be crapping out.(doubtful)
Your laser lens might need cleaning. -
Tried AnyDVD ?

I think the problem is there actually isn't CSS protection in the disc (there could still be CCS flag -> ON even though there isn't really any CSS protection). You can use DVD Decrypter for that disc, but you have to change:
Tools -> Settings -> CSS -> CSS Cracking Method -> None
Try that one. It should help...
After you have ripped that movie change the DVD Decrypter settings back (default)... 8) -
I tried DVDdecrypter in CSS cracking mode as none but no go.
I have installed AnyDVD. Any tips on the best way to crack the CD with this??? Does this software seamlessley remove CSS ??? Do I use another program to burn??
Thanks

CRC errors usually mean unreadable source, as in "scratches or smudges".

If the disc isn't scratched and it's relatively a new release (this year) has to be Sony's Protection which is NEVER discussed on this forum (it always seems to be scartches, your fault, etc. and whatnot ppl here are dense when it comes to copy protections), give cdfreaks.com a visit and ask them over there.
