  1. i encode and author many dvd from avi files however i have found it very complicated to include subs. subtitle files, is there an easier way?

    tools i use are vdub, canopus procoder, tmpeg author, ifoedit if i have to etc. i know i must missing something simple can anyone advise.

    Good. You're halfway home.

    1. Use VobSub Resynch (freeware), load the .sub file into and save as an .srt. Use SRT2SUP to save it as an .sup file.

    2. Use TMPGEnc, select File=>MPEG Tools=>Simple Demultiplex and load your MPEG file here. Select RUN. When it's done, you should have an .m2v file, and an .mp2 file.

    3. Change the extension on the .mp2 file to mpa.

    4. Open IfoEdit, select DVD Author=>Author new DVD. use the following image to load the files you need:



    I wish I had an easier way to convert the .sub to .sup, but I can't think of any at the moment. Gurus?
