Has anyone been able to do this successfully? I use this recorder to record TV programs, and also to record from VHS to DVD. Whenever I try to rip the disc created with Cyberhome on my computer for editing, I get some strange things. For one, there are some "extra" folders that I have never seen when ripping DVD's from reader to recorder on my computer. When ripping discs from the Cyberhome, other than the usual audio_ts and video_ts, there's another folder on the disc called "video_rm". What the heck is THAT folder for? When you open that folder, there are files called "sonata.ifo", "video_rm", "video_rm.ifo", "sonata_debug.ifo", and "video_rm.bup". Those files are not on some of the dscs I record with Cyberhome, they're on ALL of them. I've never seen a folder of that nature, nor any of those "rm" type files before.
Also, whenever I record with Cyberhome and attempt to rip with DVD and rip the RW disc with Shrink, the resultant footage audio goes out of sync with the video. It does this EVERY time. The video starts out in sync, then gradually goes out of sync. Anybody know what's going on with those recordings? Oh, and let's not even TALK about editing the footage with ANY DVD authoring program. You can't do it, no matter WHAT program you use. The program will simply refuse to read the vobs from the video_ts file. If there is anyone that has been abel to successfully rip AND author the files from the Cyberhome recordings, the info on how you do it would be GREATLY appreciated!

  2. The Video_RM folder is needed by the DVD+VR recording format used by DVD+R/RW recorders.

More info regarding the seemingly 2 sets of vob files you've encountered:

    Make DVD+rw compatible.
Copy the contents of the video_ts FOLDER
    Open those files with shrink

    Ignor all other folders.

I've yet to be able to rip a Cyberhome disc - FROM THE DISC - with DVDShrink. Your best bet is to try zleepy's approach.
