I like to have the show desktop button in my quick launch on my task bar. I accidentally deleted it and can't seem to find a way to put it back. I've played with the taskbar options and nothing works. I've found other "show desktop" links located in the sidebars of other folders, but when I add that to the taskbar it uses the same icon but functions differently. Instead of minimizing all folders, it instead opens a new one with my desktop items in it.

I just want to have a button to minimize all items, and have it located on my taskbar. I can right click and choose "show desktop" but I miss my button.

If someone could just right click on their button and tell me what the syntax of the "target" is for that shortcut, I'd appreciate it.

Doesn't give the normal target info or anything, I'll upload a copy.

www.nepadigital.com/temp/ShowDesktop.scf I had to rename it, there's a space between show &desktop. If that doesn't work or you don't want to trust it, there was another thread not too long ago with a ms article on how to get it back.

Yeah I just realized my wife brought the laptop home, so I checked. Its just a link to the "show desktop.scf file," which I no longer have on my pc. If you could upload that here, that'd be great.

Thanks. After posting I did a google search and found about 1000 sites telling you how to restore/create this file. I don't know why I always find the answers to my questions 5 secs after posting them. Oh well, the button is back.
