  1. Hi there - hope this is the right forum.
I have some mpeg files which i've authored, however the ensuing VIDEO_TS dir is too big to fit on a disk.
Consequently i shrunk it down with DVD shrink, however i've been unable to keep the menu i created during the authoring process (using TMPGenc Authoring s/ware)
Is there a way to keep the menu when using dvd shrink?
    Thanks
    Dan

  2. To keep the menu, you must use DVDShrink in FULL BACKUP MODE. If you are using the REAUTHOR mode, it drops the menus.

  3. Thanks for the tip.
However, if you use it in full backup mode it doesn't shrink it down - isn't that correct?
    Thanks
    Dan

    no.

So to put it clearly, DVDShrink still shrinks (if required) whether you are in full backup or re-author mode.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  5. Sorted - thanks for your help
    Its much appreciated

How do I add menus then if I want to burn/back 2 DVDs onto one DVD+RW?

If I can keep the original menus, how would I create my own menus for each DVD I want to back up on a DVD+RW?

To DVDHelpPlease - you already have a post asking this question - why are you hijacking someone elses ?
