Hi guys, I have a DV type 2 movie composed of progressive 720x480 frames at 24 fps. Is there any way to telecine this movie, so I could create an NTSCI 30 fps video clip?

    Hello,

Try tmpgenc. Also do a forum search for "telecine" and you'll find dozens of threads covering it.

Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

I tried that, but most of the links are down.

I will take a look at TMPGEnc.

That's probably because the website switched servers. The sites administrator Baldrick is trying to recover the last bits of stuff that didn't make the switch.

oh don't ruin that progressive footage by telecining it. If its truly 24fps, and not 23.976fps, then you just need to slow it down to 23.976fps in any encoder. Then apply pulldown flags and the dvd player will telecine it to 29.97fps as the film plays. This is how almost all commercial NTSC dvds are made because the quality is much higher.
