  1. Ok, obviously I'm doing something wrong, but I know not what. I read the readme that came with DVD-RB and I believe my settings, file locations, etc. are all correct. I'm running DVD-RB .57 and CCE Basic. CCE does a 165 minute run, at the end of which I'm left with a 777 meg file. Obviously this is nowhere near the 4-something gig the file should be. This is a movie-only backup, no extras or menus. Someone point me in the right direction please

  2. CCE may have finished encoding but then DVD-RB has to build the .VOB files from the CCE encoded files. Check the DVD-RB logs for any error messages.

First download version 0.57a of RB as version 0.57 can present a problem with audio (is not related to your problem but it make not sense to get the right size with audio problems

The version 0.57a can produce a log file output of the log window (where RB inform what operation it is doing), but you have to set it up.

In the following link you can find a more detailed guide to DVD-RB. Please check it up

If after reviewing the guide you find all is ok (specially that you are not using the wrong version of MPEG2Dec3dg.dll), please provide more info regarding your problem:
    - structure of the source (files names and sizes, what info provides DVDShrink regading Titlesets and streams)
    - structure of the output
    - What kind of process are you using (One Click or Three Steps)

It does worked for me. It points to the DVD Rebuilder forum at www.doom9.org. As I can see you have already posted the same problem in that forum, I believe you know how to get there

The guide I was refering was the third sticky post by wmansir. Looking at the Settings and FAQ stickies is also worth of.

  7. Yes, already done all that, posted there, read the stickies, etc. Just as a test I tried backing up another (smaller) DVD. It's 1.27GB then encodes to 1.00GB, and some of it is ok and some of it is really messed up video, pink with artifacts and garbage everywhere. I really wish I knew what the hell was wrong before I start another 165 minute encode job and hope it works.
