  1. This Week starting "yesterday" Sunday Office Depot is offering a buy 1 get 1 free Verbatim 50 pack of both the + and - format. They are $55 for 100 of them plus tax. So even a few bucks better then the Maxell deal. They are 4x certified and my guess is that both spindles are CMC, anyone buy these and know for sure? Getting lucky and getting MCC possibley would make it worth while but i'd doubt there's much of a chance for that.

  2. I already talked about them in my thread.

I ended up finding some at another location. The DVD-Rs are Ritek G03s (2x) media. Still a decent price for retail, considering there isn't a rebate. I tried to get them to sub Maxell 4x (MXL) at that price but they wouldn't budge.

  3. The office Depot in San Mateo has only 2X +R disks. I would have
bought some if they are of 4X disks. I do not know what disks are
    sold in other locations.

Please let me know if the -R's come up as TY media. I will run out and buy at least 100.

To my knowledge, Verbatim has never supplied TY as its own media in the US and Canada; I think that's only in Europe and Japan.

    That's correct.
If they are marked "Data Life Plus" they are most likely MCC(good quality),if they are "Data Life" they could be CMC(not so good).

There were plenty here in Orlando at the OD on Semoran and Colonial. They said made in Taiwan, but I didn't check to see who made them. I've always had good results with Verbatim and needed DVDrs bad (I have a shipment of Riteks on the way) so I picked these up. I would've ordered them online to use a coupon with them, but they showed as discontinued on the web and in store wouldn't accept the coupon code.

I checked out the ones in Kansas City and the +R's are labeled "Data Life". In general though, I have had good luck lately with CMC as long as they are name brand like Verbatim, TDK.
