  1. I own a JVC DR-MV1S. I have two questions:

    1. How can I add chapters and menus after burning a DVD (from VHS)? I need a PC application that can simply add chapters and menus. And, in order to add chapters and menus on my PC after copying a videotape to DVD, exactly which DVD format should I record in (I don't mean speed)?

    2. Is there any possible way to add or change chapters on a PC after the DVD has been finished by the JVC DR-MV1S.

Thanks for you help on this.

    Hi stanleyt,

A good piece of PC software for creating menus / chapters etc is Ulead DVDMoviefactory3 Disc Creator.

If you record onto a DVD-RW (in DVD-Video mode) on the DR-MVS, take the disk to your PC and copy it to your hard-drive with DVDDecrypter and then create your menus etc with Moviefactory. Then burn onto a DVD-R.

    Check out this guide:

    Best of luck,

    Moonstomp.
Just because you're nobody, doesn't mean that you're no good. Just because there's a reason, doesn't mean it's understood. It doesn't make it all right ! (The Specials)

  3. If you plan on recording on the LP mode use DVD-RW not DVD-RAM

    Moonstomp,

Another questions please: Is there anything I can do about the DVD's already burned in terms of adding/changing chapters? None were recorded in Video Mode, most all have been "finished" via the DR-MVS, and I no longer have access to the VHS tapes from which I copied. Am I sunk? These were very important and very rare professional videos. I wish I had known more before I let them go. Any hope?

    Best,
    Augie
