I captured an unusually long movie and did an IVTC to reduce the bitrate.
The result was 23.976 with a GOP length of 15. (NTSC)
I then ran it through Pulldown and inserted that into TDA.
Well TDA complained the GOP length was too long.
WTF , over? Since when do pulldown flags count as frames in GOP length ?
    I think that's a bug. They are counting display frames. 15 * 1.25 = 18.75

  2. Thanks, I've seen that one too, but didn't know why. Always just ignored it, no problem. :P

Oh yeah, when I tried DIKO a couple times I chose to author elementary streams with TDA and got the GOP length complaint then too. But no surprise on that, DIKO gives you KDVDs!

Sorry about the digression.Nothing much to worry about, though, unless someone else can cite some sort of problem resulting from it?
    Pull! Bang! Darn!
