    Will DL media play in a regular DVD player that can currently play both + / - R single layer media? Or is a new player required?

    Who knows when it comes to any particular player, brand of media, what drive it was burnt on and even what app was used for authoring?

    The only sure way to find out is to try it. If you do, please feel free to report back your results.
