I use a sky+ (similar to Tivo) box with imovie and canopus advc100 to capture tv programs and convert old vhs tapes. The resulting files are huge obviously. Using FFMPEGX I want to know the best way to convert these .dv quick time movies into files I can burn to DVD using Toast and my superdrive. How can I shrink them so much? i know it's possible i just need an expert to show me the light...
I am using a 15" Powerbook with Superdrive

Really simple - just open the file in ffmpegX choose a save name and select DVD hi-bitrate from the bottom of the main window.
