I followed the guide for ripping the audio track from a live DVD using DVD Decrypter, but instead of outputting an AC3 file; I am left with a VOB file.
Could this be because the only AC3 audio on the DVD is 6 channel instead of 2 channel?
I mainly ask this because I loaded this VOB in Goldwave and noticed that on certain parts where audio clipping might occur, the next few seconds would lower in volumeto compensate. Is there any way around this? Perhaps a different program?
I thought perhaps WaveLab might open AC3 if DVD Decrypter would output properly, but I'm not so sure about this.
Any help would be great. Thanks.

Hello,
What are you trying to make? An mp3? An audio cdr? A dvd-audio disc?
The program besweet can convert vob files to ac3, wav, mp2 or mp3 and other formats. That might be what you want to use.
