I have the latest Beta of BeSweet, and the latest BeSweet GUI. When I try an ogg->mp3 conversion, the BeSweet DOS window opens, but instantly crashes. I extracted the ogg from an ogm using virtualdubmod. The ogm plays fine in media player classic, so I assume I have the necessary decoding codec installed.

Someone in another thread in this forum claimed (without providing any proof) that BeSweet can't convert from ogg. Is this true? Why does BeSweet offer ogg as an input type, then?

the log file was empty, of course, but here is the command line I used:

    "C:\Program Files\BeSweetv1.5b29\BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "k:\test.ogg" -output "n:\test.mp3" -logfile "C:\Program Files\BeSweetGUIv0.7b4\BeSweet.log" ) -ota( -hybridgain ) -lame( -p --alt-preset 128 ) -profile( ~~~~~ Default Profile ~~~~~ )

  2. I can't answer the question of BeSweet crashing, but I can tell you that CDex will convert Ogg to MP3 for you, in batches if you want.
