  1. i have a friend who turned on his computer one day to
find he has a new user account he did not create. He
looged into the account and its is as if he has a new
computer. His my documents folder is empty, so is my
music and my pictures which are most important to him. I
went to C drive, then to documents and settings, then to
a the folder containing his previous account. I get a
    message saying access is denied.
The user account he is using has administrator access and
i have also tried logging into the default administrator
account. The problem is the same i get a message saying
access is denied. How do i disable this feature is Win
    XP. Please help.

My guess is it's a Windows File Protection issue. You can turn off file protection (not sure how but someone here will).

Worst case, take the drive out and hook it up as a slave to another machine. You should be able to access everything so you could at least back it up and save his data.

Another alternative is to use a Bart PE boot CD (you'll have to build one but it's not hard). You can find the info here:

  3. Thank for the thing we Bart PE. I will look into it.
By the way if i try to connect the hd as a slave to my PC i am not able access any of the document folder; i get a message saying access is denied.
On my PC i hace my user account which has admin access and my sisters which is a limited account. If i change her account to admin also and try to access her documents from my user account i get the same access denied message.
What's this feature in XP and how do you turn it off?
