  1. i have recorded movies on dvd for the first time, they came out pretty good .........the only thing is the picture quality came out a little bright. would anybody know how ican fix this? what is the general numbers for video resolution, audio birate and video birate? or is it something else..........any info on this would be great.

    you can adjust the brightness in most encoders. what tools did you use?

    Hello,
    Check your capture software, especially those that came with the card. They will have color and brightness adjustments available. Just change it to your desired position.

  5. Under settings --> advanced options in TMPgenc, ther should be something for color correction and advanced color correction. Either will work to adjust brightness/contrast/gamma. Make sure the color controls on your TV and DVD player are set properly as well.. if the DVD plays fine on your PC don't end up messing them all up so they play ok on your improperly configured TV or DVD player.

    oh this is what im looking for...

    TMPGenc is quite slow...are there any program which if faster in encoding and applying the adjustment in brightness i made in my movie using TMPGEnc? Virtual Dub?
    hacking the Net using typewriter :D

    With Adobe Premiere, you can adjust brightness, contrast and gamma with its build in filter.

    No. If anything, it may be slower (unless you have hardware that support realtime).
