can anyone recommend a good DVDSP2 book for a beginner who does not have the included manual/tutorials?

You just looking for how to use the program, so something more specific? For example: I wrote a guide on how to create your own custom templates.

the apple certified training book for dsp will get you up and running, it has tuts with it. for more of a good reference type book, the visual quick start by martin sitter is great. the book by bruce nazarian (sp?) is good too. but i'd go for the apple one to get you up and running.
