When I try to copy a dvd with nero, right at the end I get these 2 errors
Error reading data
burn process failed at 8x ( size of movie )
I tried changing the speed hoping that would fix it but it did not.

sounds like you are trying to copy a dual layer disk onto a single layer burnable dvd disk ....

or is it a bad source copy with a defect or scratch

There both single layer, and the disc are in perfect condtion.

you may want to also try using dvd decrypter, which i find the best way to do a straight one to one copy

I'm trying that program right now, so far so good.

Well it seems like there is a problem with the one chapter, no program will copy it no matter what I try.
