  1. I can check the firmware revision of my DVD writer in Windows ME. I can click System icon in Contral Panel, select Device Manager / CDROM / <My DVD writer> / Settings, the revision of firmware is shown in the page. But, I don't know how to check the revision of firmware of DVD writer in Windows XP Pro? Please help.

  2. Try the same place in the Details tab or I also use clone CD and it tells you.

  3. I find 5 TABs: General, Properties, DVD Region, Volumes and Driver> How can I find the Details TAB?

  4. Maybe it comes with SP2. I see it with the other tabs mentioned.

    Start>Run>msinfo32.exe
    Open Components>CD-ROM
    Look at the PNP Device ID line
    The firmware version is shown as ____1.90____ or whatever.
