Glad to see you are still around major! I got the full version of FFmpegX for xmas last year, and was starting to get afraid I should have asked for visualhub for this xmas!
It's cool that you had to take care of buissness, life throws curve balls at you, just glad to hear you are still around!
Merry Christmas!

As 2008 is now here, I'm starting to loose hope for a ffmpegX leopard compatible release...
Oh well.

On September 4th someone posted this https://forum.videohelp.com/topic336300.html reporting the Applescript errors in leopard.
We're still waiting for a fix, which is especially annoying for us that paid for a license...

Be a little more patient with Major, he's also just a human and has to take care of lots of other things not only ffmpegX! Also ffmpegX is more or less a one man project, so new updates can take a while.
Despite of that i'm also unhappy with this Leopard situation and we're waiting a long time by now for a full compatible version.
So Major:
If you can provide us with an upgrade of ffmpegX soon that would be great.

I understand it is a one man operation, but the fact that some of us are paying supporters makes this a little unreasonable (especially after several comments from major claiming to expect updates "soon" or in a "few days").
Furthermore, this being a closed source project (built upon open-source btw e.g. ffmpeg) leaves us at the mercy of major. I'm sure there would be many willing and able to fix these (rather small) problems otherwise.
This being said, I love the program. It's why I've been reluctant to complain too much until recently.
Major, please update soon! We love FfmpegX!

Thanks Major. Ffmpegx is still my only solution for encoding files with subtitles burned in. Now I got a backlog of content to take care of.

I'm still having bitrate problems with h.264 mencoder settings. I'm trying to encode h.264 with subtitles burned in, but it always ignores my bitrate settings and encodes it at about 200 kbps. Is there an updated mencoder binary? or a workaround to getting subtitles in h.264?
