  1. i hate to pester you when so much work has recently been put into ffmpegx, but when will you be working on improved deinterlacing? there are times when the quality is just unacceptable. how do you plan to approach this issue?

  2. Please give examples and reports about which engine / conversion is concerned, as the deinterlacer is not the same for all engines.

  3. the only video formats that i work with as sources material are VOB and DV, both have bad de-interlaced results when using ffmpeg to ourput either mpeg or avi. another program, diva, works MUCH better for de-interlacing

  4. Is there a way to tell if the source is interlaced or not?

  5. any more info about improving interlacing?

  6. Improving interlacing, or deinterlacing? I would in both cases appreciate links to some comparative clips w/ detailed information about how they were encoded.
