I've read a bunch of posts here about copying DVD-RAM to DVD-R, but I can't find any help for my problem. I'm trying to copy DVD-RAM recordings from a standalone recorder, that have been edited on the recorder, to DVD-R. The closest I can come is recording the entire disc with the video freezing at the edit points while the audio keeps playing. When it gets to the end of the edit point then it goes back to playing fine till the next edit point. I bought a RAM burner thinking I could copy from the few hundred RAM discs that I paid $10 apeice for to DVD-R to free up my RAMs to be reused, no luck so far though. I'm willing to try anything that might work if anyone has any ideas. Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks.

Moved to DVD Authoring
Try opening the .VRO files with an editor, then save as MPEG to HD, and then author.
Two editors I use for .VRO are Mpeg Video Wizard and Nero Vision Express -
Take your DVD-RAM disc and copy the .VRO file to your hard drive.
For simple editing, like commercial removal, use MPEG-VCR,
For advanced editing, use MPEG Video Wizard,
Save your edited work and author in TMPGEnc DVD Author or DVD-lab.
Burn, burn, burn.
I've already done 100+ DVD-Rs this way, and not a single problem yet. I use the Toshiba SD-M1712 DVD-ROM drive to read the DVD-RAM discs. -
Disregard. Already warned about cross-posting in other thread.

Sorry about the cross posting. I haven't been able to edit them on the computer, I think it's because they were already edited on the recorder. I haven't tried those programs though, so I'll give them a try. Thanks

Still can't get it, I think I give up. I get to where they were edited on the standalone and the audio sync goes crazy. Takes 3 times as long as just hooking the two DVD recorders together anyway. I just figured they would come out better on the computer, not worth it though. If anyone happens to know how to fix the audio sync I might be willing to try again. Thanks for the help anyway.
