Ok, TV is interlaced and the stuff I get on the net is DeInterlaced for a monitor.
So, do I (I think so) need to interlace a deinterlaced MPEG for making a SVCD for viewing on a TV?
What is the best (free) way to go about this?
Thanks,
Troy

Here is what I've done so far.
I ran my De-Interlaced clip through TMPGEnc to a SVCD (NTSC) format (Interlaced) and then burned a test.
The copy created by TMPGEnc looked the same on my computer as the original looked. (The DeInterlaced one.) - (Normally when I capture TV, interlaced, you can see it isn't de-interlaced.)
So, how come the new version (run through TMPGEnc) doesn't "look Interlaced" ?
The burned copy of the (newly made Interlaced) version looked fine.
Go figure.
Any comments? I could swear that I have to interlace the items for showing them on TV... but who needs an extra step, not i!
