    Hello,

    I know what warez is and it's BAD! I was just wondering how you say it. Is it like PEZ (a short e)?? Or is it like Shareware with a z?? If there is a correct way I'd be interested in knowing for future reference. Thanks.

    I think it's pronounced like "wares" ...probably after all the web over-use of swapping a "z" for the "s" at the end of a word. And there are many sites advertising "Warez cracks".

    Thanks guys. I wasn't sure if it was more common for the shareware type pronunciation or the pez version. I've got 2 for the long e warez. Thanks!

    Its a take on the word softwares, so I dont see how people really pronounce it wrong.

    At least your not like my callers and think its the name of a program they installed.

    "Do you have the install disc for that software so we can reinstall it?"

    "No.... uh.... I installed a program called WAR-EZ and it came with that..."

    You'd be surprised how often that is an answer I get...
