  1. Normally i use Ulead PictureShow 2 to author my photo dvd. It works fine. But now I want to create a photo dvd with multi level menus. 2 levels is a must, more levels would by nice.

Is there a program out which can handle multi level menus for a Photo dvd or is that impossible at all.

  3. I am working on a gui for the open source dvdauthor tool set to easily create multi level photo DVDs. It works fine for my needs but it is in a very early state of development. Also, currently there is no support for music or transitions or PAL format (I only do NTSC).

I'm a few months out from releasing my free gui as I have not had time to create a guide on how to use it and there are lots of rough corners.

If you are into Linux there exists or will exist free tools to do what you want. Take a look at http://dvdauthor.sourceforge.net

You would think that the big names in cheap DVD authoring tools would figure out that their tools are too damn limited by single level menus. This is why I started writing my own tool. DVDLab is nice but I agree that it is time consuming to use and it makes me angry that I can not feed it MP3 files for background music. I must manually convert to AC3 or MP2. They really should have built this in for a tool that costs $100.

I really like Ulead's movie factory except for the multilevel menu omission. The price is great and the performance is wonderful.
