What's the compatiblity situation with different versions of OSX? I'am using OSX 10.3.5 with Nec ND-2500A writer and LaCie driver, DiskUtility writes happily on +R and +RW disks. And -R(W) of course. Apple DVD player also works flawless with +R(W) disks. Didn't try writing +R(W) with 10.3.4 and Disk Utility, only -R(W), but it mounted disks happily and played 'em, but I had (still have) Roxio Toast installed.

10.3.3 and above is supposed to offer support if you have a drive that is dual format.
dvd player support was added around 10.3.3/10.3.4 so the disks can play in DVD player now
