i have never had a problem copying dvds using nero. after nero finish writing the image it prompt me to put in a dvd. i putin a dvd+r and nero say that this disc can not be write on. i then use dvd author to burn the image on the disk and it work. i don't like this method b/c on nero i can specify how many copies i want. is there a prog i can use to replace nero.

I backup all my dvd, or at least the new ones and the ones I like more 3 times, I live in 3 different places, is it legal?

I agree with THAYNE...I back up everything TWICE, one to cover general wear and tear (scratches etc.) and the other coz of the kids rough-arse handling . Regardless of the file/media type (DVD, AVI's, software, games, whatever) it gets done TWICE.
For example, my kids have snapped DVD's just taking them out of the case (by not pressing the centre in) which REALLY used to pi...wind me up.....UNTIL I DID IT MYSELF and realised how easy it is to snap optical media....so when burning you might as well do another copy BEFORE you delight that BIG file and time/effort. -
People who have to backup multiple times? Makes me wonder how they can even live when there's so much destruction going on around them
