Hello,
It's been awhile since I've used dvdx but I'll give it a shot. Did you choose a audio format? It should give you the choice of a mp3 or ac3 (I think, not sure). It would be lame or some other encoder.
Of course, your source needs sound (I assume it dit). It should copy over just fine. Rip a chapter off a dvd and try it again (a chapter is a lot faster test). Make sure you choose your video output AND audio output (you can choose quality as well.

P.S. Sorry if I'm being too generic, when I get home I could help you out more if you give some extra specifics.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
Hello,
I was wondering, are you sure you didn't EXPORT the audio? If the source has sound and it didn't mix with the video that could be the problem. Though you do have the mp3 encoder. Hmm, like I suggested try it again with a short clip and try to remember your steps. You may have missed something along the way.

Hello,
I just finished a short 15 sec logo test and I got sound to work with dvdx. My first question for you: Do you have the lame mp3 encoder installed on your computer? If you don't have it dvdx can't use it.
Also, I found my guide for it. It's in the directory that dvdx is in. It's called guide.htm. If you don't have I can email it to you (if you give me your email that is).
I hope you can get this working.
Kevin
P.S. By the way, what is your end result going to be for the video? Are you going to be watching it on your pc or a divx compatible dvd player?Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -

Thanks for your help -
Hello,
Just a quick question, you are using a ripped vob off the harddrive right? Also, as noted earlier it might not be a bad idea to try another conversion program. There are plenty in the tools section.

yes i am using vob from hardrive, stiil cannot get any audio, this is really puzzling me now? Will have to look through the tools to find an alternative
. Thanks -
Hello,
I just remembered. There is a audio selector in the setup screen after you open the vob. It has a list of all the tracks in the vob. Make sure you select 08x01 or something like that. Usually the first one is the 5.1 track. I think you can use gspot to tell (not sure if it works on vobs). Good luck.
