  1. Hi everyone,

I've used Movie Mill to capture my vhs home movies and now I'm looking for the best/easiest software to record them on DVD. My HP currently has MYDVD which no longer operates after the trial period and I'm looking to buy something. thanks

If the files are DVD compliant, all you need to do is author and burn them. I would use TMPGEnc DVD Author. It's fairly easy to use, popular, and has a trial version.

  3. TMPGEnc DVD Author is excellent and easy. Popular also as you can see above.

Dvdauthor 0.6 with DVDauthor GUI is free.

    Just some options.

  4. I recommend DVDLab. It's very flexible for menu designs, and compiles to DVD folders, so you can test how it will look before you burn it. I think it might have an option for Burning directly (not sure). I use nero to burn the folders to DVD anyway.

  5. For free I would recommend DVD Author GUI. Its easier than it looks at first to make a dvd. What you need to do is read the html file that comes with it. I t has pretty detailed instructions on how to create a dvd. You may or may not know this but (when you are ready to create your dvd) it makes two folders called VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS. These contain your files for your dvd. Then just take your favorite burning software, create a data dvd, and drop these two folders on them. This software is good quality for being free.
