    i am having a prob main concept mpeg encoder can any 1 help when i down load a movie xvid it plays ok in divx player but when i put it though main concept mpeg encoder all the movies that i do work for about a hour the picture freezes and sound continues its not just 1 movie its all any ideas please

    Bad AVIs? Did you scan them for bad frames?

    I'll lay odds it is the audio. Probably LAME MP-3 with a variable bit-rate. Load it into VirtualDub. If you get a message regarding an incorrect VBR header, that it your problem. Switch the the audio to Full Processing Mode (in the audio menu), then save the audio out as an uncompressed wav file. Load the original video into Mainconcept, then load the new audio file in place of the original. All should now be sweet.
