Just picked one up off of e-bay for a real good price. only problem is that it doesnt have the manual or remote. can anyone out there tell me how to switch the ant in to cable? I dont get the channels above 13...

I'm not sure of the answer, but the 1970 is very similar to the 1980, I believe. Here is a link to the manual for the 1980.

If you don't mind, what kind of price did you get? I know these things aren't cheap. Also, what do you think of it so far? How's the picture, etc? -
thanx it is exactly what i needed. I picked it up for 150. Ive seen them as low as 75(with something wrong)and as high as 600. It works as advertised.I wanted it because of the built in TBC. picture is great. Im converting alot of older vhs tapes thats the whole reason for it. thanx again for the link...
