  1. I finally got in touch with my friend who had the template for vcd's so it will make the movies fit onto 1 cd-r, so if anyone wants to give it a try, or anyone who is looking to burn their movies onto 1 cd-r just let me know and i can send it on to you, granted it compresses the movie quite a bit, but it is still vhs quality at the minimum and is definately watchable still.

also finally found out my stand alone plays pal and ntsc, so saves me much time on conversion etc. wished i had known that earlier today or yesterday *l*

  2. Since you are still going at it (though this is a new thread) ...

    Let me say these:

    - You can get blank DVDs for 40 cents each. It is a good time to switch over. By the way, a new DVD burner is about $80 if you do not have one yet.

    - As far as the template goes, if you are serious about this, you probably would have checked out the guides and tools sections. But if you have not, do us a favorite and do a search on K(s)VCD or XVCD etc.
It's time to kick some butts, and presto ( if you know what I mean )

  3. well i do have a dvd-rw but since my pc died on me and is back at the manufacturer being replaced i have to work with what i have, which is only a cd-rw.

also i tried the kvcd templates, they claim to make them 1 cd-r compatible, but after several attemtps all my encoding were still over 900 megs, the template i finally got back took my 1.5 gig movie and encoded down to 783 megs and fits perfectly onto 1 cd-r. i was posting useful info for those who needed the template.
