anytime i try to encode an ntsc film the filesize is always too big & i cant change it,i useds to b able to but now i cant,strange!![/i]

what bitrates are you using?
and what type of encode are you using. cbr or vbr? -
I had the exact same problem. Make sure that "do not frame rate conversion" is UNCHECKED in the settings screen. I'm not sure why it works, but that did the trick for me.
