  1. What does the "Silver Thermal" mean - are they printable on the surface with say the R200....???

    THANKS!

  2. No. The R200 is an inkjet printer.

A thermal disc printer, like the Casio or TDK ones, uses either a ribbon or other form of toner that is applied to the disc. Thermal printers will print to all regular discs (generally speaking), but do not require an absorbent layer like inkjets do.

If you put one of these through an R200 you'll have a muddy brown sludge to content with, and it's not pretty...

  3. I am not wanting to print on the discs, just wanted to know what the silver thermal meant? Haven't seen that description for any other blanks...

  4. It's a selling ploy to shift the stock of silver topped unbranded discs, then.

Within reason you can pretty much print on any disc with a thermal printer, although the results can be a bit "stringy" if you try and use a thermal printer on some inkjet printables.
