Same media as when BestBuy sold it for $14.99 several weeks ago. I went there 10 minutes after the store opened and someone already wiped them out. Online price is $34.99. Looks as i'm shit out of luck this week on cheap media.

Local BB didn't have these marked with the sale price, but a checkout clerk honored the ad I showed him. Wished I would have done some research here before I went to BB. Would have gotten more than 1 pack.

  4. I bought two 25 packs of these @ $12.99 ea. Rings up at $34.99 but showed the sales person the ad and they gave it to me for that price. Not sure but I think BB meant to have CD-R's on sale for 12.99 but put in the wrong picture. Checked the sku (6260958) of the item in the sale flyer and it brings up Verbatim 50-Pack 52x CD-R Disc Spindle.

    Good deal!!

  6. Does anyone know of any retailers that sell these so that I can get them to price match with 110% price difference?

you might wanna check office depot, circuit city and compusa. I'm not sure if they carry these specifically, but they do stock verbatim media.

I just got a spindle, media code is MCC 01RG20 in case anyone was interested. I took the last spindle up to the cashier to pay, computer priced them at $35ish, cashier assured me that these were not on sale(even though the ad shows the exact same packaging and describes them the same) and after five minutes of her leaving to check with her superior she came back with a form adjusted the price. worth the hassle, hopefully they have some left on the weekend.

Look around the rest of the store - you may get lucky. All I could find was the +R discs also. But while browsing through the rest of the store I came across a display in the middle of the aisle that had a bunch of cd and dvd media - There was shelf full of the -r Verbatims.

Also, as others have mentioned, they rang up at $34.99 - but after I pointed out that they were the same discs in the ad - they adjusted the price with no problem. I had an employee look them up in the Computer after I found them, and the guy told me it showed that they had around 200 units in stock.

Just out of Curiosity - are these good discs? I may go back and get a few more. I like the "movie reel" look of the discs, except for the fact that it makes them impossible to print on, except with a marker.

I also picked up a 50-pack of the Verbatim 4x Datalife discs on sale for $39.99 - are these the same discs, just with a different look? If so, I may return them and get more of the $12.99 packs, as it is a much better deal.

    Thanks,

    Roy

It's listed in the in-store sales flyer. The flyer has the wrong upc code listed (the last 2 numbers are out of order), and they ring up at $34.99 - but just take a sales paper to the register and they will adjust the price (at least they did for me). If they give you a hassle, just push it and they should give you the sales price - they don't really have a choice, since the picture and description in the ad clearly identifies these discs as the ones that are on sale.

  14. It might be a good thing that they're all sold out because the quality of these Verb digital movie discs aren't very good. I had bought 3 of those 25-packs over a month ago and out of the 15discs I used for movies, 4 of them started freezing up towards the end of the movie. I know it's the verb media because i also copied the same movies with Prodiscs 4x dvd-r media and not one of them frooze or even showed any pixelations. I burnt them all at 4x.

These verb digital media are manufactured in taiwan in the same plant that makes the CMC media but use MCC dye using mcc tech.
