Ok this thing wont output the audio and im stuck encoding it with tmpgenc. WHen I multiplex the two the audio plays for a few seconds stutters and plays again. it repeated this throughtout the whole movie. But all the while it doesnt lose synce. Any thoughts.
3min clip from
dvd2avi to
tmpge (made project file for aspect ratios)
converted with the vfapi converter, opened with
cce sp 2.5
audio encoded with tmpge from the same project file
muxed with tmpge
burned with nero= crappy, audio stuttering garbage that looks nice.
any ideas.

Since you got a .wav file from dvd2avi, feed it into cce as seperate .wav file.
Input file settings> input audio from another file.
So you don't need to convert the audio with VFAPI and you can save a video only TMPG project.
However, I recommend to use cce for video encoding only. Do the audio conversion with TMPG and toolame (and ssrc if you need to downsample). Mux afterwards. -
what video/audio bitrate are you using? it might be ridiculously high(i've been there....even powerdvd stutters)
-
I use CCE for encoding video only and I use TMPGEnc (using TooLame + SSRC) to encode audio only. You should try using VirtualDub (frameserving) to resize your video with retaining correct aspect ratio. I frameserve with VirtualDub and use the Resize filter to retain correct aspect ratio on my videos. Cause if you use VFAPI with TMPGEnc project files, they degrade the encoding process in speed. =|
And stanwebber might be right if you use a video bitrate abover 2500 (most DVD Players can't play videos above 2500kbit). -
My bitrate is 1800 average and 2560 max bitrate. I have never had a problem with bitrates going that high.
So I should try avisynch with flask to frameserve to cce and use tmpge to with encode with toolame for the audio. and mux with tmpge?
can you choose a source range with flask?
Well thanks for the help I will give it a shot. -
No dvd2avi does not resize at all when you use it as a frameserver, like we do. Use Avisynth to resize. You have the option to Bilinear or BicubicResize, quite similar to the VirtualDub filter, but it works in YUY2 colour space as well.
