  1. hi guys,

i don't know if any of you have been experiencing this but when i burn a dvd on my pioneer 106 i seem to get a slightly lighter ring in the middle than what the rest of the burnt disc looks like. it seems to play ok.
the ring is always approx in the same place and was wondering if u huys thought it maight be the laser or maybe even the laser arm giving way when writing?
i was looking up from my bed at the stars when i wondered....Where the hells my ceiling?????

  5. i got the same problem with my pioneer DVR105. Riteks works fine, but prodiscs have a lot of these rings. I noticed that when I defragmented the drives and DISABLE all background applications (like flashget, bittorrents, etc) before burning, It's less likely for the rings to show and if they do show, it'll be so hard to see like as if there're no VISIBLE differences. SO I guess it has to do something with the files fragmentation. Then again, not sure.
