A few days ago, for no reason, Nero would not open. I got an error message stating that the directory did not allow access.

I followed the instructions at Nero's website and changed the permissions in the directory.

Now, Nero starts. But every time I attempt to burn a disc I get a message that says there is not enough space on the disc.

None of the attempted burns have been over 4 GB. I can burn the same projects with other programs.

Unfortunately, Nero is the only program I have that will burn movies that are compatible with my Panasonic recorders- which are my primary players.

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Nero, but it did no good. There is nothing wrong with the disc

Does anybody have any idea what is going on here?!

  2. HI.
I'm not sure if this will help since I don't know if you are burning directly to disk or to the drive first or what version you are using.. I have Nero and stumbled across these posts from other places before.

A fellow Patriots fan huh? Thanks for the links. I am, burning (to disc) DVDs that have been ripped to the hd and split.

However I tried a disc to disc copy with a 3GB PS2 game and that failed also- same error message.

I did find the second link interesting. All those people were having the same problem. The major difference was that it happened to them after "updating" Nero. I never touched Nero!

Oh well I will try re-installing it later- that seemed to work for them.
