After looking through the recommendations on this board, I got a Lite-On 24102B (40r 24w 10 rw). I've successfully (over)burnt 99 min SVCDs with this.

Most of the UK web retailers should have this drive - I got mine through dabs.com.

As for getting 99 min media, the only place I've been able to find them is through 121cdr.co.uk. Good service, and I've been happy with the media they sell.

Playback has been an issue for me - I have a Pioneer DV-343 and it only seems to be able to play back 90% of a fully burnt 99 min CD-R. Of course I can play it to the end on the Lite-On on my computer.
