  1. Successfully ripped a DVD with DVD Decryptor but failed to open the files in DVD Shrink. Got an error message stating that it could not find VTS_01_2.VOB

I then compared the contents of the actual DVD with the folder created by DVD Decryptor and noticed that it merged all seven 1-GB VOBs into one large VOB, which explains why DVDShrink failed.

Why did it do this? How can I get it to not do this? How come it never happened to me in the past for any of the discs that I have decrypted?

    Hello,
If they were merged you must have accidently told decryptor to merge the vob files. Go to settings and file mode, then select "dont merge vob files" or no merge or some kind of jargon like that. You could always uninstall dvd decryptor and reinstall it if you don't want to hunt for the settings. By the way, dvdshrink can read straight off the disc so you don't HAVE to use dvd decryptor, of course, thats allright if you do.

I assume you ripped in ifo mode. Go into Tools-Settings-IFO mode. There's a drop down box, select file splitting- 1GB,you probably have it set to None. DVD ShrinK cannot open ifo rips,it requires file mode rips. Even if you rip in ifo with 1GB files,DVD Shrink will not open them.
