  1. I have been able to burn several VCD's, mpg format onto DVD/RW, (want to test before using an R disk) and know they are all there as when I test thru Media player I find all files I burned. But when I try to play on DVD player only first file plays. Menu shows no other files. This player does play DVD-R+R, -RW+RW. Is there something else I need to do? My DVD player came with very limited instructions, so unless I can get some help or suggestions here, I might have to give up. What I want to do in order to save space, is put series type movies onto one DVD disk rather than having 4, or 5 single CD/R disks.

Thanks and forgive me if I have posted in wrog area. I looked in a few other areas but they seem to be a bit advanced for me.

  2. You really need to convert the vcd's to dvd format to get them all to play. Try using something like svcd2dvd which will allow you to convert the files and you can create a menu that will allow you to choose which film to watch.

You dont need to convert vcd, they are already dvd compliant, use a program such as tmpgenc dvd author and add the files there to be authored properly, one thing that will need to be changed is the audio has to be 48khz which tmpgenc dvd author will do for you automatically.

  5. I am currently using Nero to burn the VCD's, (mpeg) from hard drive to DVD, saying burn as data file. I got that info from someone that has been doing it that way, with great success. As I said, they are all on the DVD, but when I pop into my DVD recorder all that comes up is the first one burned. When I pull up menu only 1 shows. I know the DVD player will play DVD RW and R disks, and my problem may be that I have to somehow program the player, but unfortunately the player directions are very limited and upon going into the forums of the brand player I have, I am getting no response, and I can't find anything on line in English for support, apparently the player is a foreign made one. It will play any kind of file and I have had no problems until I tried this latest project.
