I already ordered one myself, since I have been so happy with my used 9800U.
There is only 1 remaining, but probably not for long

I bought one myself Friday night from same seller. Seller said he'd ship it Monday. Can't wait.

Umm OK....
If you were to peruse the online electronics wholesales and retailers, you would discover quite quickly that this model of VCR is very difficult to find, and then it is quite expensive (over $500).
Also scouring the local department stores and electronics stores proved fruitless, as none of them had any in my area. Many other people I have spoken with have had the same success, or lack thereof.
Since the newer models (9911)are made with lower quality components and parts, the 9800 has been described as the best pro-sumer VCR out there, especially for those wishing to capture old VHS tapes.
The fact that you have had one for years is great, but entirely ignores the point that , today, they are no longer available.
In this case specifically, to get a NEW, unopened 9800 for $350 is quite a deal. I was able to buy a used (100 hours) HR S9800 last year for $300, and many considered me to be lucky.
Feel free to continue to post things about which, you have little or no understanding. We all find it quite entertaining.....

Wow, that's a steal.
I have looked long and hard for one of these, but had to settle for the 9911, which isn't a bad deal at all, not quite as good as the 9800 or the 9900. I lost one on eBay a month ago when it sold for $525.00 -

Tell me about it. He said he had 6 brand new, unopened 9800s. He opened 1, just to make sure it wasn't damaged in any way. He left the others unopened. I will get one of the unopened ones this week and know for sure.

I got mine in from the seller a week and a half ago. It truly was factory sealed. The VCR works like a champ. I don't have any SVHS blank tapes, but I did try a recording on a hi grade vhs tape using SVHS-ET, and the results were better than I thought they would be. Also the Time Scan function is excellent.
