Most places that rent DVD's use a small round label around the clear centre section of the disc for the barcode, shop name etc.
Has anyone seen these for sale ?

I'd probably expect to see "x" amount on a sheet of A4 where they can be printed on then peeled off ?

  2. Some of our American friends can probably assist because they are available in the States, however I have tried to find them here in the UK (and Europe, during my travels) with no luck. I would hazard a guess unless you want to pay a lot more than the labels are worth in shipping you're going to be stuck with full face labels or a very fine permanent marker - there just doesn't seem to be a call for hub labels outside of America !

    My apology, bad links.

  5. Hmm... that's interesting to know - people have linked to them before now saying they sell in the UK when they dont... well, the hub labels at least.

I contacted them some time ago and the reply was along the lines of insufficient demand and suggesting I buy from America, so it's interesting to see they do indeed now seem to sell them in this country.

HOWEVER !! There is no applicator here in the UK. Not that I can find at least - most of the links on their own site are 404. Their shopping cart (great Americanism there) says it's a demo only, and the full version does not display the message. One link to the labels takes you to inlay cards. The sheet is US Legal, not A4. Not exactly looking after us Brits.

I'm not sure I'm going to trust these guys with my money, assuming I can get their site to take it, that is !

you can probably get away without the applicator for the hub label...they are small enough that when you peel and stick them, it's pretty easy to center (or should I say centre) them on the disk....

Don't know if they're available in the UK, but I use Photomatte CD Core Labels from Neato--item #CLP-192268---www.neato.com. They come 20 labels per sheet for a total of 500 labels per pack for roughly $20 as I recall. I also use their MediaFace 4.01 software--works well. In terms of application, I use an old appliator for CD Stomper. In fact any applicator that has the small hole would work. Hope this helps.

couldn't you just use the center of a spindle as an applicator?

Yep, that's what I used to do. Either cut down a larger cake box spindle to an appropriate size or, better yet, use a 10CD cake if you have one around. I only label my DVDs with Sharpies though... too risky to use stickers IMO.

    Best of Luck,
