  1. Now to tell you the truth I dont know if this is how its going to be but from the looks of it I think so, there will be no modchip necessary for this system, and no gameshark or non of that, but the other day my friend experimented with the XBOX and burned to music cds, one on a cd-r and the other on a cdr-w, on the cd-r it didnt read anything, and so he tried putting on a cdr-w and I was amazed at the results, he can actually play music cd on a cdr-w, so let me tell you this? Do you think the games are gonna be used on a cdr-w? I think so because I think that since Microsoft thought, either way there will always be a hack to overcome the games and to be playable, we might as well let them be played on a CDR-W, so that way people wont really burn them cause cdr-w are very expensive and since they are rewritable, they wouldnt want to waste a cdr-w for no reason, so ya let me hear your feedabak, and thnx alot....

there is no way that any video game producer would think like that. they might as well just say "don't buy the games, just burn them. we don't care if we lose millions and millions of dollars".

and i am pretty sure that there have been many topics on the x-box on what it can and cannot play. if you do a search you will find them.

  3. I know what you mean, but it's like, I am not an expert on this but I wouldnt be surprised if they come out on CDR-W. Dont you agree?

  4. Nope,
CD-RW just doesn't make any sense for their needs. They press CDs or DVDs by the thousand. CD-RWs are great for us but they are also the most fragile of the disc media. They want discs that are more durable. What you have just discovered is simply that the X-Box has a powerful Cd and therefore reads CD-RWs better than CD-Rs because they are thicker.

  5. if you check out the dvd players list, you will see many dvd players doesn't read cdr media, but read cdrw.

also, most games won't fix in 1 cd, and their game is load on demand, that mean you can change disc while you are playing.
