virtual dub help

ive have captured some vhs using virtual dub fine. Now its givin me all this stuff about knackered AVI files after i try to play the captured files back.
pcs are crap i was much happier with my commodore 16.

any ideas ?

How did you capture them, and in what format, capture card, etc?

i captured uncompressed avi using radeon 9200 vivo.

I capture a few seconds as a test which was ok. then i captured ten minutes which was not?..........then i captured some other footage which virtual dub could rekey the frames or whatever it does and then it worked!? however i cant always rekey the frames..

all this was in the same sitting
