i work for a cleaning machinery and checmicals company. i don't earn a lot, but hopefully that'll change once my IT NVQ is complete.....

and in a couple of years it should cost me less than the £1000 a year i'm currently paying to keep my car on the road, never mind about petrol.

I work for Telestream. We make hardware and software products for video compression, workflow, and transmission over internet. Mainly for broadcast stuff.

    http://www.telestream.net

Our salaries are based on what is called the Pine Cone Theory. That means since we get to live in a small town, nestled in the foothills of the Sierra-Nevada mountains, amongst the tall pines, they only need to pay us 1/2 to 2/3 what we would make if we moved 65 miles SW to Sacramento. Now if the mortgage companies would just accept pine cones for the mortgage payment.....

  11. I'm a full time university student so that makes me nothing but the hours are good.

I also work part time in retail bullshitting to customers about things I don't know about but they think I do. Makes enough money to pay for my weekends out.

Next semester I'll probably also be tutoring classes at uni so that should subsidise some goodies.

I'm working at a small (but very reputable) law firm specializing in business and construction law and intellectual property. I don't make much but for a legal internship its better then the average salary ($0).

One last year of law school and then I can get a real job.

I used to work as a diagnostic assistant in a Lasik Eye Surgery Center, but I asked them if I can just sit at the door. I now work as a lobby doorman in the same place. I get to bring my laptop and watch backups all day.

Also, I am an aspiring professional musician.

I'm a full time student so I spend more than I make. Right now though, I work at a local blockbuster($7/hour) and at a dental school($3000/summer, 1700/semester). I'm also planning to mentor either chemistry or biology at university next semester which would bring in about 8-900/semester. I smell a burnout!
