  1. I made a VCD today, and the first few videos play fine, but about halfway through the disk, my DVD player starts "searching", and the picture freezes and the video starts getting choppy etc.

I ripped the files from a VCD that I had made earlier, but didn't "convert" them through TMPGEnc. COuld that be the problem? I burned the discs with Nero.

  2. Maybe fingerprints on the disk or something. Maybe bum disks. If you ripped the VCD files off the VCD with isobuster or something, you shouldn't have to do any reconversion to put them back to a VCD.

I use TDK discs, which never gave me problems before. And I've already wiped the disks. I did use isobuster, which is why I'm confused that it's giving me problems.

  4. I'd recommend a couple more things I guess. Maybe the player itself? Does it play all other VCDs right? You could run a scan on your VCD with Nero CD speed. I'm just fishing....

  5. I have Apex, and I've never had problems with it before, although it might be time for cleaning. I'm completely clueless when it comes to these things - how would I clean my DVD player? But thanks for the suggestions - I'll try them out!
