2 AVI's to DVD

Can someone please explain the best way to do this?

I have 2 AVI files, I want to join them so they play as 1 with a seamless join. Then I want to make it into a DVD format.

Using FFMpegX how do I join them do I need to change any settings ?

I think for the final part I can just use the Fast DVD quick preset option.

or do I convert them both into DVD VOBs first and then just change the numbers so they play in sequence?

ffmpegx can join them, but its not necessary really

your authoring app will seamlessly join them

assuming you want to use free apps get Sizzle and then follow the AVI to DVD tutorial in my signature link

you can skip mpeg2works if you dont want to buy it since you paid for ffmpegx, but just have ffmpegx convert the AVI to mpeg2 and then contiune with the tutorial
